Heather & Becca’s Intimate Colter Bay Elopement

Heather and Becca chose to elope with their closest friends and family at Colter Bay swim beach. It was a sweet day with beautiful weather and the fall foliage really showed up for these two brides! Watching them become wife & wife was so beautiful and hearing their vows certainly made me teary eyed.

I am passionate about capturing authentic love stories for all couples. Jackson Hole offers an inclusive and breathtaking backdrop for every celebration. We noticed tourists offering congratulations to these beautiful brides all day long! I heard Heather and Becca express relief that people in this area are so inclusive and they felt so much love and happiness the entire day.

I asked Heather and Becca Why was Grand Teton National Park your top choice for your elopement?

“Each detail of our journey—our shared passion for national parks, the serendipitous planning, and our unique proposals—culminated in a love story as breathtaking as the landscapes we cherish. Grand Teton National Park is not just where we said “I do”; it embodies the spirit of our adventure, our love, and the memories we continue to create together.”

I also asked What advice do you have for couples planning a Teton wedding?

“First and foremost, if you have the time and budget, we highly recommend a scouting trip. It gave us the chance to familiarize ourselves with the park, which helped us plan what to bring, what we didn’t need, and what our families should prepare for. We also got additional ideas for the day and allowed us to anticipate any potential challenges. This level of preparation made our actual wedding day feel much smoother, and it’s a great way to reduce stress if you can manage it.

Having a local photographer with experience in the area was another huge help. We worked with Karina Dopp, and she was instrumental in helping us plan out the timeline for the day. I highly recommend investing in a photographer who knows the park well.

We did not hire a wedding planner, and even though we had a small wedding with just 14 people, it still required a lot of coordination. So give yourself enough time and stay on top of the details!”
