Planning a wedding is pretty straight forward. There are loads of blogs and Pinterest tricks for brides. Elopement is the HOT new thing! So here’s the top tips you need to plan your Jackson Hole or Grand Teton Elopement!
The number 1 thing you need to know about having an elopement in a national park is permits! For some reason they make you get a permit, blah, but it’s important so you don’t get arrested on your wedding day. (okay maybe not that intense…but you will get fined!) The permits are around $200. Here’s the website link to get started!
Indoor Vs Outdoor Venues
Too cold for an outdoor elopement? Grand Teton National Park has some gorgeous woodsy chapels like Chapel of the Transfiguration and Chapel of the Sacred Heart! Don’t want to hike? There are so many extremely short trails that are perfect for grandma and grandpa like Schwabacher’s Landing and Blacktail Overlook Ponds!
If you are more of the hiking type, maybe you don’t want to hike in your expensive wedding dress. Bring a popup tent or wear compression shorts and a strapless bra so you can strip down and change at your destination with the help of one of your guests!
Photograph Every Second!
Am I even a photographer without mentioning this part? Once in a lifetime events deserve quality memorializations! In other words, don’t jip yourself of remembering every moment of the day! The emotions, the adventure, the views, the details. Imagine spending every ounce of your budget to create the day of your dreams and not having images to remember it with! Don’t sell yourself short!
