Best Jackson Hole Elopement Dinner Spots ( 2027)

You did it. You said “I do” in one of the most jaw-dropping places on earth, and now it’s time to eat. Whether you had two witnesses and a dog at Mormon Row or a small crew of your 30 closest people watching you say the sappiest vows ever in Grand Teton National Park, your Jackson Hole elopement dinner should be just as good as the ceremony that started it all.

Here’s the thing about Jackson Hole: the food scene is straight up bodacious. We have award-winning restaurants, rustic western gems, private dining rooms that will make your guests feel like VIPs, and spots that are so iconic they’re basically a rite of passage. You don’t have to settle for whatever restaurant has a table open.

Make a reservation, show up feeling like the newlyweds you are, and lean into that newly married energy! For real-time recommendations from couples and vendors who’ve been there recently, join my Facebook group, Jackson Hole Wedding Connection, a local resource to share ideas, ask questions, rant about situations, get vendor ideas, and so much more.

Before You Book: A Few Things about Jackson Hole Elopement Dinners

Planning your Jackson Hole elopement dinner takes a bit more thought than a regular reservation, and a few things consistently catch couples off guard.

Food and beverage minimums and room rental fees are not the same thing. You can hit a restaurant’s food and beverage minimum and still owe a separate room rental fee on top of it. These are two different line items and restaurants are not always upfront about the distinction. Ask specifically: is there a room fee, and is that separate from the food and beverage minimum? Get both numbers before you build your budget.

Gratuity for large groups is usually automatic and it adds up fast. Most Jackson Hole restaurants add 18 to 22 percent gratuity for groups. That’s not optional and it’s not negotiable. If your dinner minimum is $3,000, your actual minimum with gratuity is closer to $3,550 to $3,660. Build that into your real number from the start so nothing blindsides you at checkout.

Ask when your group can arrive and when you need to be out. Private rooms often get flipped for another seating later in the evening. If you want two and a half hours in the room, confirm that window is actually available. Some restaurants will tell you upfront. Others won’t mention it unless you ask.

Ask about outside cake or dessert and whether there’s a cutting fee. This catches couples off guard constantly. Some restaurants allow you to bring in a cake from an outside bakery, some don’t. And even when they allow it, many charge a plating or cutting fee per person. If you’re planning to bring in a cake from a Jackson bakery, which is a great idea, ask this question before you book the room.

Ask whether the private room has AV and a dedicated server, and whether there are any sound restrictions. If you want to give toasts or play a first dance song through a speaker, confirm the room can actually support that. Not every private dining space has AV. Not every room has its own server. Know what you’re working with so you can plan the evening accordingly.

Book months out, not weeks. Jackson Hole peak season is real and relentless. Private dining rooms in summer fill up fast. If your elopement is anywhere between June and early October, start making dinner calls the moment you lock in your date. A few weeks out is a gamble. A few months out is a plan.

Best for Intimate Micro-Celebrations (2 to 15 People)

These are the best Jackson Hole elopement dinner spots for a small crew without requiring a massive minimum spend or a full room buyout

Merry Piglets
Downtown Jackson, close to Town Square, with a bright and festive interior that sets the right tone for a celebration. Merry Piglets is hands-down one of the most affordable private room options in Jackson Hole. The room fee is $500, the food is Tex-Mex and fun, and the vibe is lively without feeling stuffy. For small elopement groups who want a private space without spending a fortune, this is the move. Casual, festive, and genuinely a good time.

Still West Brewery
Tucked at the base of Snow King Mountain with a gorgeous patio looking up at the resort, Still West is a solid pick if your crew is laid-back and you want cold craft beer on your wedding night. The minimum is $1,800, the food is American and approachable, and the brewery atmosphere is relaxed in the best possible way. No black-tie required. Just good food and cold beer with a great view.

Roosevelts
A downtown Jackson staple with a classic, warm atmosphere that feels genuinely welcoming. Roosevelts runs $45 to $100 per person, which gives you some flexibility depending on how you build the meal. A good spot for a smaller group who wants a real dinner out without a room minimum hanging over the whole night.

Snake River Brewing
A Jackson Hole institution. Snake River Brewing doesn’t have confirmed private dining pricing yet, but it’s a great option for a casual group who wants good food, craft beer brewed in-house, and a spot that feels authentically Jackson without any pretension. Worth calling to ask about group accommodations.

The Kitchen
A cozy, warm spot in Jackson Hole with a farm-to-table focused American menu built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The Kitchen is popular with locals and visitors for good reason. The food is thoughtful and the atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and actually enjoy your evening. Great for an intimate group who wants something a little more intentional. Pricing to be confirmed directly with the restaurant.

Minzingas
A beloved local dive bar with a great burger and an unpretentious, fun atmosphere. Minzingas is the spot for couples who want to celebrate exactly where the locals actually hang out. No private dining situation, but a great option for a small group with a laid-back vibe who just wants a real night out in Jackson. Call ahead for group seating.

The Whistling Grizzly
Inside the Wyoming Inn just north of downtown Jackson, with a cozy lodge atmosphere that feels settled and warm. Private dining details and pricing need to be confirmed directly, but worth reaching out for a smaller group who wants something comfortable and low-key.

Best Private Room Buyouts for Mid-Size Groups (15 to 40 People)

Gather
Downtown Jackson, close to Town Square, with intimate interior spaces that feel pulled together and genuinely celebratory. One of my top recommendations for a Jackson Hole elopement dinner. The private rooms hold up to 28 people, the food is American and genuinely good at $70 to $90 per plate, and the $2,600 minimum is reasonable for a group that size. Gather feels elevated without being intimidating. Book this one early.

Calico
Out in Wilson, WY, about 10 minutes from downtown Jackson toward Teton Village, Calico has a low-key, local feel with outdoor space that sets it apart from the busier downtown scene. Calico has a private patio that can be bought out for groups, making it a beautiful outdoor option in a less crowded, more relaxed setting. Pricing to be confirmed directly with the restaurant.

Aurora (atop Snow King Mountain)
Ride the Snow King gondola to the summit and have dinner while the entire valley spreads out below you. Aurora sits at the top of Snow King Mountain and delivers one of the most genuinely special dining experiences in Jackson Hole. Views of the Tetons, valley, and town all at once, while everyone else is eating at sea level. If you want a dinner your guests will not stop talking about, this is it. Confirm availability, capacity, and pricing directly with Snow King since this is a unique venue situation, but it is absolutely worth the call. Check out this gallery to get an idea of what Snow King and Aurora has to offer!

Code Red
Downtown Jackson with a lively, colorful atmosphere that makes the whole evening feel like a party. Mexican food with a $3,000 minimum. If your group runs 20 to 30 people and you want great food, a fun atmosphere, and a private experience, Code Red delivers. Get the margaritas. You got married today. You deserve them.

Trio Bistro
Right in downtown Jackson, Trio Bistro is a spectacular option. The base minimum is $3,000 plus a $150 per person food minimum. For a mid-size group who wants an American bistro feel with a polished atmosphere, this is a strong contender. The space feels celebratory without feeling like a corporate event room.

Palate
Downtown Jackson with a modern, clean event space attached to a catering operation. The venue fee is $3,500 plus food costs. A solid option for a private celebration with a dedicated space and attentive service. Confirm current pricing and menu options directly since both can shift by season.

DUSK at Ringholz Studios
A working art gallery and event space in Jackson with a creative atmosphere unlike anything else in town. DUSK is not a restaurant, which means you bring in external catering and build out the experience yourself. The rental runs around $2,500. If you want something that feels completely unique and not like a standard restaurant buyout, this is worth looking into. More planning required, but the result can be really special.

Best for the Big Celebration (Full Buyouts and Larger Groups)

Mangy Moose
In Teton Village at the base of the mountain with a big, energetic space built for a crowd. The minimum sits at $6,500. An iconic Jackson Hole name, and for a larger group who wants atmosphere and energy, it’s a strong option. Great if your vibe leans more celebration and less quiet and intimate.

The Local
An upscale steakhouse in Jackson Hole with elevated service and one of the better fine dining experiences in town. Private dining options are available. Great for couples who want a proper sit-down dinner that feels polished from start to finish. Confirm details directly with the restaurant.

Kampai
A Japanese restaurant in downtown Jackson with one of the most overlooked event spaces in town: a rooftop that can be rented out for private events. If you want a dinner that feels both festive and a little unexpected, Kampai’s rooftop gives you open sky, Jackson atmosphere, and sushi. A great option for couples who want something more elevated than a standard private dining room. Confirm rooftop availability, minimums, and seasonal access directly with the restaurant. Check out this gallery to see what dining here looks like!

Roadhouse Brewing
A well-loved Jackson Hole spot with a laid-back brewery atmosphere and great food. The minimum here is $6,000. For a larger group who wants a lively dining experience, this is worth the spend.

The Bistro
Downtown Jackson with an intimate, refined French bistro atmosphere that makes the evening feel like a genuine occasion. French cuisine with a $7,000 minimum. The pick for couples who want white-tablecloth energy and a dinner that feels like a real event.

Best for a True Wyoming Experience

Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse
Upstairs from the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar right on Town Square, with the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you landed somewhere real. You cannot come to Jackson Hole without at least considering the Cowboy. Book a group table in the restaurant or saddle up at the bar. It’s iconic for a reason, and dining here after your elopement is the kind of story you’ll be telling for years. Pricing for private groups is not confirmed, but call and ask. Worth the effort.

Gun Barrel Steak and Game House
On West Broadway in Jackson with a classic western steakhouse interior, mounted game trophies on the walls, and a menu to match. If your crew are adventurous eaters, Gun Barrel is the most “we actually went to Wyoming” dining experience on this list. Bison, elk, wild game done right. No confirmed private room pricing, but it’s group-friendly and beloved by locals.

Silver Dollar Bar (at the Wort Hotel)
Right on Broadway in downtown Jackson inside the historic Wort Hotel. The bar top is inlaid with actual silver dollars. History, atmosphere, and great drinks. Not a private dining situation, but a must-visit for a celebratory drink if you’re doing dinner elsewhere.

Hatch Taqueria and Tequilas
Lively, fun, and tequila-forward. Hatch is a great option for a more casual elopement celebration with a group who wants good tacos and festive energy without a formal sit-down setup.

Teton Village Options (For Couples Staying Near the Resort)

Il Villaggio Osteria
Already listed above, but worth calling out again here. Italian, $4,000 minimum, right in the village and steps from the gondola. For groups staying at the resort, this is the obvious first call.

Spur (at Teton Mountain Lodge)
Inside Teton Mountain Lodge in Teton Village, with a beautiful setting and solid food. Private dining details and pricing are not confirmed, but worth reaching out if you’re already staying in the village and want to keep the evening local.

Practical Tips for Booking Your Jackson Hole Elopement Dinner

Locking down your Jackson Hole elopement dinner should happen right after you secure your wedding permit. Book private rooms as early as possible. Jackson Hole peak season is real and relentless. Summer months especially. If your elopement is in June, July, August, or September, private dining rooms can be booked out months in advance. The moment you lock in your elopement date, start making dinner calls.

Ask about deposits and cancellation policies. Most private room bookings require a deposit, and cancellation policies vary. Get those details in writing before you confirm anything.

Know what you actually need from the space. Some couples want full AV setup, a cake cutting, a champagne toast moment. Others just want good food and a table for their people. The more specific you are when you call, the better the restaurant can tell you whether they’re the right fit.

Confirm a menu format in advance. Fixed menus are common for private rooms. If you have guests with significant dietary restrictions, flag this early. Most restaurants in Jackson are used to accommodating, but they need advance notice.

Confirm everything the week of. Call or email a few days before your dinner to reconfirm the headcount, the timing, and any special requests.

All pricing in this guide is pulled from current research but can change at any time. Always confirm directly with the restaurant before you budget or book.
