The best Jackson Hole Wedding Venues
Eight years of shooting weddings means I have OPINIONS about Jackson Hole wedding venues. Strong ones. I’ve been at these properties at 6am in January and at golden hour in September and every wild condition in between. I know which spots on each property catch the light in a way that makes photos look like they were staged by a film crew. I know which outdoor setups feel incredible in person but photograph flat. And I know the spots nobody bothers to mention in the brochure.
So when you’re staring at a list of Jackson Hole, WY wedding venues wondering how on earth to pick one, consider this your insider guide. Let’s get into it.
Why Jackson Hole?
Before we get into the venues, let’s talk about what makes Jackson Hole such an exceptional wedding destination.
The Teton Range backdrop.
These mountains do not play around. The Grand Tetons shoot straight up from the valley floor with zero foothills softening their drama. When you position your ceremony against these peaks, every single photo looks like it straight up belongs in a magazine. The beauty here amplifies every emotion and creates visual impact that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth.
Authentic Western atmosphere.
Jackson Hole hasn’t been theme-parked into something fake. Real ranches still operate here, elk wander through town, and the cowboy culture runs deep and genuine. Your wedding taps into real Western heritage, and your guests will feel that difference the moment they land.
Accessibility.
Jackson Hole Airport offers direct flights from major cities, so your guests can be standing in the shadow of the Tetons just hours after leaving home. That combo of accessibility and wild landscape is increasingly rare, and it’s one of the biggest reasons couples keep choosing Wyoming over every other mountain destination.
Four-season beauty.
Summer brings wildflowers and lush meadows, fall paints the valley in aspen gold, winter turns everything into a snow globe, and spring delivers rushing waterfalls and fresh green landscapes. Every single season brings completely different and equally stunning wedding backdrops. There is truly no bad time to get married here.
Adventure opportunities.
Your wedding weekend becomes a full Jackson Hole experience. Guests can explore Grand Teton National Park, raft the Snake River, visit Yellowstone, shop Jackson Town Square, or just sit there staring at the mountains with their mouths open. The destination itself becomes part of your celebration in a way that a city ballroom simply never could.
Giddy up. Let’s get into it!
Grand Teton National Park

If you’ve been dreaming of getting married in the mountains and have a relatively small guest count (I’m talkin’ 50 or less) the national park is the best place to say “I DO!” The permit process is manageable and I walk my couples through it all the time. It is worth every step.
Grand Teton Wedding Permits
Here’s what you need to know: all site-specific ceremony locations are fully booked for 2026. Mormon Row, Schwabacher Landing, Oxbow Bend, Snake River Overlook, Glacier View Turnout, and every other named, site-specific location within the park have zero permit availability left for this season. If your heart is set on one of these iconic spots, get on the list early for 2027. Applications open around December 15 each year for the following calendar year, and popular dates fill FAST.
For couples planning an intimate Grand Teton elopement with a very small circle, this is a DREAM. Getting married in genuine wilderness, surrounded by nothing but mountains and the people who matter most, is a Jackson Hole elopement memory that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
For couples hoping for a larger celebration with more than a handful of guests, Grand Teton National Park ceremonies aren’t the right fit for 2026, and the incredible venues listed below are where you want to look.
Grand Teton dispersed permit ceremonies are the most budget-friendly option among Jackson Hole elopement venues, with just the permit fee required for the ceremony itself.
Practical Considerations
Weather is completely unpredictable and backup options within the park are minimal. Tourist crowds share popular areas during peak season, even at dispersed locations. If you want a traditional reception after your ceremony, you’ll need to coordinate a separate venue or restaurants in Jackson Hole. Accessibility varies by location, and some dispersed areas require hiking.
For the most current permit information and availability, go straight to the National Park Service website. Permit rules and costs can change year to year, so always verify before planning. For more information on permits visit the NPS site.
Diamond Cross Ranch

The Diamond Cross Ranch Experience
When people picture a Wyoming ranch wedding, Diamond Cross Ranch is exactly what they’re imagining. This fifth-generation working cattle ranch has everything: a historic red barn with soaring ceilings, sprawling meadows with Teton views, real ranching happenings every single day. But I haven’t shared my favorite part yet! The horse release.
Picture this. You’ve just been pronounced married. You share your first kiss. And at that exact moment, ranch hands release a herd of horses that thunder across the pasture behind you, manes flying, hooves pounding, pure Western magic unfolding while your guests cheer and definitely cry. It’s one of the most spectacular moments I’ve ever had the honor of photographing, and it NEVER. GETS. OLD.
The 13,000 square foot event center means your reception is gorgeous and comfortable and completely taken care of. You get the full western Wyoming experience without giving up a single thing in terms of elegance. This venue has everything.
Planning Considerations
The ranch sits about 45 minutes from Jackson, so coordinating guest transportation is worth thinking through early. Teton Cabins directly across the road provides convenient lodging for guests who want to stay close. The authentic ranch setting means embracing things like dusty roads and outdoor Wyoming conditions, but that’s part of the magic.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

For couples wanting a literally-top-of-the-world wedding experience, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the most obvious choice!
The Rendezvous Lodge sits at the top of the tram and has one of the most dramatic ceremony setups anywhere in Wyoming. You are on a mountaintop. The valley is below you. The sky feels bigger than it has any right to be at that elevation and the light up there in summer and fall is something else entirely.
The tram ride up with your guests is its own moment. By the time you reach the top, everyone is already fully in it. JHMR handles everything from intimate ceremonies to celebrations of up to 200 guests, so whatever your scale, it works here.
Book it in summer for wildflowers at the summit. Book it in fall for the colors in the valley below. Either way you win. Confirm current pricing directly with the resort here.
Couples wanting guaranteed wow factor from elevated ceremony locations tend to fall HARD for this venue, as do adventure seekers who love the gondola experience. Anyone prioritizing full-service coordination will appreciate the resort’s infrastructure, and groups needing accommodation variety will find Teton Village’s concentration of lodging and dining options genuinely convenient.

Snake River Ranch

If you want the Grand Tetons with zero obstruction in front of you, Snake River Ranch is your place. It sits just outside Teton Village with open, uninterrupted views that are hard to beat anywhere in the valley. There are no other buildings cutting into the view, no parking lots, just open ranchland and the full Teton Range straight ahead.
It’s a working cattle ranch, which means the character here is never staged. You can feel the difference the second you pull onto the property.
The ranch holds up to 300 guests for a tented celebration and you get the property entirely to yourselves for the day. The photos look exactly like the ones you bookmarked that made you want to get married in Wyoming in the first place.
Snake River Ranch is a beautiful match for couples who value authentic ranch settings with room for customization, and for anyone wanting working ranch atmosphere with sophisticated execution. Photographers are going to be OBSESSED with the varied landscape options, and couples who are comfortable with more hands-on planning will love the creative freedom a blank canvas brings. Working with wedding planners that offer decor services will be essential for this venue. Local planners like Magnolia Ranch Events are experienced in creating gorgeous experiences for couples on this property! Check current pricing here: Snake River Ranch
Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club

Sometimes the best choice is the one that handles everything. Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club excels at that!
For couples who don’t want to spend their entire engagement project-managing twelve different vendors, having venue, food, drinks, rentals, and coordination all handled by one team is genuinely a gift. Steve is the current coordinator for events at JHGTC and he takes the best care of couples!!
Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club Venue Spaces
The grand ballroom accommodates up to 200 guests with high ceilings and mountain view windows. The outdoor terrace overlooking the golf course provides a stunning ceremony backdrop with the Teton Range beyond. The clubhouse also offers intimate spaces for smaller gatherings. Weddings here happen on Saturdays only from May through September, and a full service wedding planner is required to book the space. Guest counts are strict as well. A minimum 65 guests, maximum 200 for full venue capacity. That sweet spot works perfectly for most wedding sizes without feeling too large or too restrictive.
Perfect For
I’ve shot weddings at JHGTC and the views from that lawn at golden hour are genuinely hard to compete with. If a polished, classic Jackson Hole outdoor wedding with unobstructed mountain views is what you’re after, this is the one.

Jackson Lake Lodge
Jackson Lake Lodge is inside Grand Teton National Park. Not near it. Inside it.
Floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over Jackson Lake with the Teton Range on the other side. An outdoor terrace facing Mount Moran directly across the water. Guests who have never been to Wyoming walk into this lodge and immediately understand why you chose this place. Every time.
Weddings here feel different from every other Jackson Hole wedding venue because of that. You’re not at a resort that happens to be near the mountains. You’re IN the park.
This is a great pick if you want the full National Park experience with a venue team behind you, which takes a lot of the logistical weight off your plate.
Spring Creek Ranch

Spring Creek Ranch sits on the same East Gros Ventre Butte with equally spectacular vistas, and y’all, it is one of the most underrated Wyoming wedding venues in the entire valley.
The Spring Creek Ranch Appeal
Most Jackson Hole wedding venues have the mountains as a backdrop. Spring Creek has them as the floor plan. The venue has indoor and outdoor options so you’re covered regardless of season or weather, and golden hour up on that butte is some of the best light I’ve encountered anywhere in this valley.
Spring Creek Ranch Venue Flexibility
The terrace provides a stunning outdoor ceremony space that photographers love. Indoor reception areas accommodate various group sizes. The property layout allows creative use of multiple spaces throughout your celebration, giving your whole day a natural and beautiful flow.
Why Couples Love Spring Creek Ranch
The wildlife sanctuary setting adds special character. Guest accommodations on the property simplify logistics considerably. The more relaxed Western vibe appeals to couples wanting elegance with a warm, unpretentious energy, and that is honestly a beautiful balance to strike. Before or after your wedding day the property also offers amazing amenities and activities like horseback trail rides! Check for wedding packages here: Spring Creek Ranch
Snow King Resort

Located steps from Jackson Town Square, the resort eliminates long drives to mountain venues entirely. Guests can walk to restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The setting at Snow King Mountain’s base still provides authentic mountain atmosphere and views, so you get both downtown convenience and a real mountain backdrop. No compromises. At the end of the night you can continue the party at the state of the art Observatory located at the top of the gondola! Seeing Saturn’s rings with my own eyes at Alyssa and Tristan’s wedding is an experience I won’t forget!
Snow King Resort Wedding Packages
All-inclusive packages started at $150 per person as of recent seasons, covering venue, catering, bar service, and coordination. The ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests. Multiple spaces allow flexibility for ceremony and reception configurations. For couples wanting to impress, the amphitheater located at the top of the gondola is the best option! Or if you want the downtown convenience without the mountain top price tag, the lawn has gorgeous mountain views and is easily accessible for all guests! Confirm current pricing directly with the resort here.
Best For
Snow King is an ideal choice for couples with guests who value convenience, and for anyone wanting easy access to Jackson’s restaurants and nightlife. Budget-conscious planners benefit from the all-inclusive packages, and groups needing urban accessibility with mountain views will find this location genuinely hard to beat.
Moose Creek Ranch

Twenty-two miles from Jackson, this property nestles right at the Tetons’ base with cabins, a barn, meadows, and Moose Creek flowing through the property. The more remote location creates a peaceful, private atmosphere that feels genuinely removed from Jackson Hole tourist activity. If seclusion is on your priority list, this place should make the top of your list.
Moose Creek Ranch Wedding Features
The barn accommodates receptions and provides reliable shelter from weather. Multiple outdoor ceremony locations spread across the property give your photographer incredible variety. On-site cabin accommodations let guests stay right on the property for a true multi-day retreat. Creek and mountain backdrops create naturally varied photo opportunities throughout the entire day.
Perfect For
Moose Creek Ranch is a wonderful fit for couples wanting seclusion and privacy, and for anyone comfortable with the drive from Jackson (absolutely worth it, I promise). Groups interested in multi-day wedding celebrations with everyone staying on the property together will find it especially magical, and nature lovers will appreciate the quieter, less touristy setting where wildlife might just wander through your wedding photos. A moose photobomb? That’s a gift.

Grand Targhee Resort

On the Tetons’ western side, Grand Targhee Resort offers year-round wedding opportunities with rustic mountain charm and a perspective of the Tetons that most visitors never even see.
Chairlift rides up Fred’s Mountain offer mountaintop ceremonies and portraits, and the rustic lodge buildings provide mountain architecture as a backdrop. Summer wildflower meadows give way to winter snow globe scenery, and views stretch across Teton Valley toward distant ranges in every direction.
Year-Round Appeal
Grand Targhee operates beautifully in all four seasons. Winter weddings here embrace snow-covered magic with ski resort atmosphere built right in. Summer has spectacular wildflower abundance! Spring and fall offer shoulder-season beauty at reduced rates and with fewer crowds.
Best For
Grand Targhee is a perfect match for adventure-loving couples excited about chairlift experiences and ski enthusiasts wanting winter mountain weddings. Anyone drawn to the western Tetons’ distinct perspective will find the views genuinely stunning and different from the eastern valley scenery most people picture, and budget-conscious planners seeking mountain resort experiences at accessible price points will appreciate the value here.

The Cloudveil

This chic property combines modern design with thoughtful Western touches. A refined urban atmosphere just steps from Town Square. The boutique scale ensures intimate, personalized experiences that larger resort hotels cannot match. Everything here feels curated and intentional, from the locally inspired artwork to the thoughtfully designed event spaces.
The Cloudveil Wedding Spaces
Event spaces accommodate intimate to mid-size celebrations with flexibility for various configurations. The rooftop terrace offers unique downtown ceremony options with mountain views. It has the most stunning backdrops, especially at golden hour when alpenglow lights up the distant Tetons. Indoor spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows, modern finishes, and versatile layouts that adapt beautifully to different visions.
The boutique scale means your celebration feels exclusive. Your event takes center stage, and the intimate scale means staff attention stays focused on you throughout the entire day.
Accommodations and Guest Experience
All guest rooms showcase contemporary mountain design with luxurious amenities. Your guests get spa-quality bathrooms, plush bedding, and thoughtful touches that make boutique hotels special. Many rooms feature mountain views or private balconies.
The downtown location transforms your wedding weekend into an immersive Jackson experience. Guests walk to dinner reservations, explore art galleries, shop local boutiques, or grab coffee at nearby cafes. The whole wedding weekend feels effortlessly social and spontaneous.
Perfect For
The Cloudveil is a natural choice for urban-loving couples who prefer contemporary design, and for anyone prioritizing walkable downtown access to Jackson’s restaurants and nightlife. Intimate to mid-size weddings up to 150 guests fit the space beautifully, and groups wanting boutique hotel experiences will appreciate the personalized scale. Couples drawn to modern mountain aesthetics and destination wedding hosts who want guests exploring Jackson independently all weekend long consistently love this venue.

Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole
Wyoming’s only AAA Five-Diamond resort, and yes, it fully earns it.
The Four Seasons sits in Teton Village at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and the Cottonwood Lawn ceremony setup is so cozy and remote. The Teton Range is right behind you. The light in that valley at golden hour does things that make me want to cry a little (professionally, of course). The indoor Grand Ballroom handles larger guest counts without breaking a sweat, which matters more than you think when Wyoming weather decides to have a mood.
The venue team here is serious. Everything runs so smoothly. You get to actually BE at your wedding instead of managing it. And don’t get me started on the food! Some of the best chefs in town creating the most gorgeous and delicious cuisine!
Best Seasons for Jackson Hole Wedding Venues

Timing dramatically affects both availability and experience at Jackson Hole wedding venues, and each season genuinely offers something different and beautiful.
Summer Weddings (June Through August)
Advantages: All venues are fully accessible and operational. Reliable warm weather supports outdoor celebrations, and long daylight hours create extended photography opportunities. Peak wildflower blooms cover the valley, and guest travel conditions are comfortable.
Challenges: Highest demand means earliest booking required, typically 12 to 18 months for popular dates. Maximum tourist crowds throughout Jackson Hole. Peak season pricing at most venues.
Best venues for summer: Any outdoor-focused venue shines in summer. Grand Teton dispersed permit locations are at their most accessible. Ranch venues like Diamond Cross Ranch and Snake River Ranch showcase lush meadows at their best. Mountain resorts with outdoor terrace ceremonies come into their own. The Cloudveil’s rooftop terrace delivers downtown mountain views at their most vibrant.
Fall Weddings (September and October)
Advantages: Spectacular aspen gold fills the valley. Crowds diminish after Labor Day, weather is typically stable with pleasant days and crisp evenings, photography light is exceptional, and some venues offer reduced rates.
Challenges: Cooler temperatures require layers for guests. Snow is possible by early October at higher elevations. Shorter daylight hours affect photography windows.
Best venues for fall: Any venue with aspens or cottonwoods showcases autumn color beautifully. Grand Teton locations like Schwabacher Landing reflect fall colors in still water. Ranch venues show golden aspens against mountain landscapes at their absolute best. The Cloudveil shines for downtown convenience during beautiful fall weather.
Spring Weddings (May and June)
Advantages: Better availability than peak summer. Lower rates at some venues. Rushing waterfalls create dramatic backdrops, and fresh green landscapes emerge alongside late May and June wildflowers.
Challenges: Weather unpredictability means snow through May is possible. Some higher elevation venues may still have snow or mud. Mud season can affect ranch and outdoor venues.
Best venues for spring: Lower elevation options with reliable accessibility work best. Venues like Snow King Resort, The Cloudveil, and Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club offer climate-controlled spaces that provide weather security.
Winter Weddings (November Through April)
Advantages: Snow transforms the landscape into winter wonderland perfection. Lower venue rates compared to summer. Fewer tourist crowds. Unique seasonal beauty and photo opportunities. Ski resort operations provide built-in guest activities.
Challenges: Many venues don’t operate in winter, narrowing options considerably. Extreme cold is possible. Travel disruptions from storms. Very short daylight hours limit photography time.
Best venues for winter: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with gondola-accessed venues and full winter operations is a top choice. Snow King Resort downtown offers climate control and walkable convenience. The Cloudveil delivers contemporary winter elegance. Four Seasons Resort runs full winter services. Grand Targhee Resort leans into ski season atmosphere in the best possible way.
Finding a Jackson Hole Wedding Photographer

Choosing a photographer who knows Jackson Hole wedding venues deeply makes an enormous difference in your final gallery, and I cannot overstate how much local knowledge matters here specifically.
Why Local Photography Knowledge Matters
Photographers like me who regularly work at these venues know exactly where and when the light is best at each specific location. We’ve scouted the properties extensively and know the hidden gem photo spots that tourists and first-time visitors miss entirely. We understand Wyoming weather patterns and have backup plans ready when conditions shift unexpectedly. We’re prepared for elevation, variable weather, and mountain conditions that can change FAST. We know how to maximize each venue’s unique features.
What to Look for in Jackson Hole Wedding Photographers
Look for portfolios showing multiple Jackson Hole wedding venues across different seasons, which demonstrates real range and experience with this landscape. Seek out photographers with specific experience at your chosen venue who understand its particular features and best light. Proven ability to capture both epic mountain landscapes and intimate emotional moments matters enormously here, as does a deep understanding of mountain light and how to work with dramatic Teton backdrops.
Questions to Ask Potential Photographers
How many times have you photographed weddings at my specific venue? What are your favorite photo locations on that property and why? How do you handle sudden weather changes or contingencies? Can you provide vendor recommendations based on your experience? What is your backup plan if weather happens?
Timeline Collaboration
Work with your photographer early in planning to create realistic timelines. They understand how long various photos actually take, when light is optimal for specific shots, and how to build in buffer time for Wyoming’s unpredictable elements. Our input helps you maximize your investment in both venue and photography.

Picking your Jackson Hole Wedding Venue
After exploring all these spectacular options, here’s how to actually choose the right venue for your celebration.
Trust your gut reaction. When you tour or research a venue and feel that immediate spark of excitement, pay attention to that instinct. Your intuition often knows which setting fits before your logical mind finishes analyzing every pro and con.
Prioritize what matters most to you. Make a list of your top three priorities: budget and value, Teton views and photography, guest convenience and accessibility. Evaluate venues specifically against those criteria rather than trying to find perfection in every single category.
Consider your guests’ experience. Older relatives might appreciate convenient downtown venues like Snow King Resort or The Cloudveil. Adventure-loving friends might prefer Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s gondola experience. Families with children might value all-inclusive simplicity.
Visit if at all possible. Photos beautifully showcase venues, but walking a property helps you truly envision your celebration unfolding there.
Ask thorough questions. Ask about weather contingencies and backup plans. Clarify vendor restrictions or requirements. Understand setup and breakdown timing. Experienced coordinators appreciate thorough questions from informed couples.
Read reviews from real couples. Look beyond the venue’s curated testimonials to find reviews on The Knot, WeddingWire, and Google. Real couple experiences reveal patterns about service quality and how venues handle challenges.
Understand what is included. Clarify exactly what your venue fee covers versus what comes at additional cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most popular wedding venue in Jackson Hole?
Grand Teton National Park draws more couples to Jackson Hole than any other location, largely because the scenery is simply unmatched. For 2026, all site-specific permit locations within the park are fully booked, and only dispersed permits for up to 12 people total are still available. Among private venues, Diamond Cross Ranch is consistently one of the most sought-after options thanks to its fifth-generation working ranch authenticity, its Teton views, and the signature horse release ceremony that couples rave about for years afterward.
How far in advance should I book a Jackson Hole wedding venue?
For summer Saturday dates at popular Jackson Hole wedding venues, plan on booking 12 to 18 months in advance. Some venues fill their prime summer dates even earlier. Fall dates typically require 9 to 12 months. Winter and shoulder season dates are more available and often bookable 6 to 9 months ahead. If you have a specific venue and date in mind, reach out as early as possible.
Do I need a permit to get married in Grand Teton National Park?
Yes. All ceremonies within Grand Teton National Park require a special use permit from the National Park Service. For 2026, all site-specific locations are fully booked. The only option currently available is a dispersed ceremony permit, which allows ceremonies at non-designated locations within the park. Dispersed permits allow a maximum of 12 people total (including your photographer, videographer, officiant, and all guests), cost $200 (or $300 for The Wedding Tree location), limit ceremonies to 2 hours, and allow a maximum of 2 photographers. Applications open December 15 each year for the following calendar year.
What is the average cost of a Jackson Hole wedding?
Jackson Hole is a luxury destination, and wedding budgets reflect that. For a mid-size wedding at a private venue with a full vendor team, most couples spend somewhere between $40,000 and $100,000 depending on guest count, venue choice, and service levels. All-inclusive packages at venues like Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club and Snow King Resort start around $150 per person. Ultra-luxury experiences at the Four Seasons regularly reach six figures. A Grand Teton dispersed elopement with 12 or fewer people is by far the most budget-friendly option, with the ceremony permit costing just $200.
What is the best time of year to get married in Jackson Hole?
Every season has something genuinely spectacular to offer, and the best time depends entirely on your priorities. Summer (June through August) is the most popular for reliable weather, full wildflower blooms, and all venues being operational. Fall (September and October) is a favorite for the aspen gold, softer light, and reduced crowds. Winter offers dramatic snow scenery and lower rates but requires choosing venues with full winter operations. Spring brings rushing waterfalls and fresh landscapes with better availability than summer but less predictable weather. July and early August hit the sweet spot of weather reliability, full venue access, and peak natural beauty.
Can I get married at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort?
Absolutely, and it is one of the most spectacular settings on this entire list. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers multiple wedding venue options, including Rendezvous Lodge at 9,095 feet elevation accessed via the Bridger Gondola, Bridger Lawn at the base for larger outdoor celebrations, the Murie Ballroom for elegant indoor receptions, and Trappers at mid-mountain for more intimate events. Packages started around $7,000 for venue fees as of recent seasons. Confirm current 2026 pricing directly with the resort.
What is the smallest wedding Grand Teton National Park allows?
For 2026, the only permit type currently available within Grand Teton National Park is the dispersed ceremony permit, which allows a maximum of 12 people total. That count includes everyone present: your photographer, videographer, officiant, family members, and guests. There is no minimum. Ceremonies are limited to 2 hours, and a maximum of 2 photographers are permitted.
