Jon & Maddy’s Winter Proposal at The Wedding Tree

You already know Jon and Maddy from their wedding at The River at Club Blanton, but this is where their story in front of my camera began. A winter day in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, fresh snow on the Tetons, and Jon with a ring in his pocket. I was absolutely honored to be hiding in the sagebrush for this one with my husband on videography!

The Proposal

Jon chose the Wedding Tree, and he so chose right. One of the most iconic proposal spots in all of Jackson Hole. This location is easy to access in all seasons and has amazing mountain views! The snow was perfect, the sky was clear, and Maddy had absolutely no idea what was coming.

When Jon got down on one knee she completely lost it. Pure joy, total shock, hands flying, laughing and crying all at once. That ring is an emerald cut stunner and it caught the Wyoming winter light like it was made for it!

Persephone Bakery

After the proposal we headed into town to celebrate at Persephone Bakery, which is obviously the move to make on a cold Wyoming winter day after getting engaged in Jackson Hole. Lattes, a pastry, and a ring that deserved its own portrait session on that marble table. If you have never been to Persephone, put it on your Jackson Hole list immediately! Their vanilla chai is soooo yummy! And of course Maddy had to call her Grandma on facetime so she could hear the news first! I loved seeing them laugh and have that special moment together!

Jackson Town Square

No Jackson Hole engagement story is complete without a stop at the antler arches on the Town Square. Jon and Maddy were so genuinely happy that photographing them here was effortless. I love that the arches always have good light! We literally have 4 directions to choose from!

Jackson Hole Winery at JHMR

The day ended with a toast at Jackson Hole Winery up on the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort property. They have a cute deck that’s perfect for people watching and enjoying the sunset on the Teton range.
