Emmy and Ben came in a little nervous. They left completely camera-confident and ready to crush their wedding day. End of summer engagement sessions in Grand Teton National Park will do that to you.
This is exactly why I push every couple I work with to book an engagement session before the wedding.
Do This Before Your Wedding Day. Seriously.
Your wedding day moves fast. Emotions are high and people are watching. The portraits happen whether you feel ready or not.
If the first time you’ve ever been in front of a camera together is your wedding day, the first thirty minutes of portraits are going to feel awkward. By the time you loosen up, the light has moved.
An engagement session fixes that. We get the awkward out of the way in a field in Wyoming with zero pressure. You learn how I direct and I learn what makes you two light up. We walk into your wedding day already knowing each other. The difference in the images is immediate.
Emmy and Ben proved exactly that.
From Nervous to Natural
They came in a little nervous. Most couples do at the start and I know exactly how to move through it.
By the halfway point they were laughing and completely relaxed. They had forgotten I was even holding a camera. That shift is the whole goal of an engagement session and Emmy and Ben got there faster than most.
When two people stop overthinking and start having fun together in one of the most beautiful places in the country, the frames come easy. Emmy and Ben gave me some of my best work from that evening.
End of Summer in the Tetons
End of summer in the Tetons is genuinely one of my favorite times to shoot. The light gets warmer and softer as the season tips toward fall. The air changes. The park has a different energy than peak July and it photographs beautifully.
We moved through the park and let the session breathe. Emmy and Ben brought such good energy. My job was just to keep up.
My Best Locations Are Exclusive to Booked Clients
I don’t post specific location tags on client sessions. The spots I bring my couples to are reserved for the people who book with me. It’s one of the perks of being on my calendar and Emmy and Ben got the full experience.
If you want your Grand Teton Engagement session to look like this, let’s schedule a call! I promise it’s worth it.
