Sarah showed up to this Grand Teton proposal with a laugh that could stop traffic and a mental shot list she had clearly been workshopping for a while. Devon pulled off this surprise so perfectly. Sarah said she was expecting something but maybe not on this trip. She said yes with her whole body. And then we had golden hour and a vision to make happen.
The Proposal
Devon picked his proposal spot from my client exclusive Grand Teton National Park location guide. He walked Sarah out on the trail to “check out the views” and then got down on one knee, and she completely lost it. Shock, then joy, then happy tears, all in about four seconds flat. Sarah didn’t notice me crouching in the bush and had a good laugh when she realized I was secretly capturing every candid moment!
The champagne was already chilling nearby. Devon literally thought of everything.
Sarah’s Shot List
Here’s what I love about Sarah. She knew what she wanted and she was not one bit shy about it. The piggyback kiss with the barn in the background? Nailed it. The lift in front of the barn with the Tetons stretching out behind them? Got it. The ring detail with a tiny wildflower tucked between her fingers? That one was all her idea, and it’s one of my favorite shots from the entire session.

Mormon Row at Golden Hour
The session wrapped at Mormon Row as the light went fully warm and low. The Moulton Barn photographs beautifully at golden hour. Devon and Sarah were locked into each other and completely relaxed, and it showed in every single shot. It was such an honor to be a part of this day with them!
