I am OBSESSED with this elopement day. Brittany and Andrew packed so much beauty and so many surprises into one day in Jackson Hole and I was genuinely blown away from start to finish. Rooftop first look, adventures through Grand Teton National Park, vows at the Wedding Tree, a sunset first dance, and a Cowboy Bar close. Let me walk you through it.
First Look on the Rooftop of the Cloudveil
We started in downtown Jackson at the Cloudveil Hotel and went straight to the rooftop. Andrew stood with his back turned. Brittany walked up behind him. Snow King Mountain was sitting on the horizon.
He turned around. She was right there. Done. Day made before 10am. Andrew had a fun surprise up his sleeve literally. He opened his suit coat and the lining was a custom arrangement of photos of their precious dogs that were at home. Brittany laughed, shed some tears, and laughed some more.
Adventuring Through Grand Teton National Park
From the Cloudveil we headed into the park and just went for it. Brittany and Andrew were natural and easy and genuinely fun to be around. We hit the scenic spots, found corners of the park that most people drive right past, and let the whole afternoon breathe.
I had an absolute blast with these two. That energy comes through in every frame.
Elopement at the Wedding Tree
The Wedding Tree stopped everything.
Brittany and Andrew said their vows here with our small crew gathered close and the mountains sitting right behind them. They were already technically legally married. But their dream was to come to the Tetons and celebrate their love and make private and intimate vows to each other. An elopement at the Wedding Tree doesn’t have to be super official. You can choose to read vows together without all the legal stuff if that’s more your flow!
Then Andrew reached into his bag.
His family’s heirloom Bible. Carried silently the entire day without telling a single person. He opened it and read Brittany scripture right there under the Tetons. This man PLANNED that. Packed it that morning and said nothing. If you want to know who Andrew is as a partner, that one detail does it.
I cried. I’m not ashamed.
Watch the Full Film
Dillon and the video team were with us all day. They got the Bible moment on film. Watch this. Brittany & Andrew’s Highlight Film and if you want to add video to your elopement day check out our video packages here!
First Dance at Sunset
After the sun dropped we pulled out a small speaker, pressed play, and Andrew and Brittany danced. Right there in the park with the mountains going dark behind them.
No production, no choreography, no audience. Genuinely one of the cutest things I have ever had the privilege of shooting.
The Cowboy Bar to Close the Night
We ended the night at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in downtown Jackson and the flash photos go HARD.
